Joel Uong
Pastor Joel Uong was born in Vietnam and came to Montreal with his family as a
teenager.
He is currently serving as assistant pastor at MCAC (Montreal Chinese Alliance Church) and at MLSAC (Montreal Living Springs Alliance Church).
He is multilingual, fluent in English, French, Mandarin, Cantonese and Vietnamese, familiar to work in a multicultural environment and loves to connect with people of all age and all walks of life.
Education
1992-1998
He went to Hong Kong with his wife to pursue theological training and stayed there to serve.
They organized outreach concerts in various civic centers, town halls, and concert halls.
They also traveled to China, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Mauritius for short-term missions.
1998
They took up the pastorate in Montreal Christian Gospel Church and, later, started recording Chinese Christian songs for a Christian radio station in Asia.
2007
Pastor Uong joined the C&MA of Canada and became the lead pastor of the Montreal Vietnamese Alliance Church.
